Sri Lankan cinnamon combines with star anise in a delicate blend showcasing a much more flavorful type of cinnamon than the standard cassia bark. Once you’ve tasted the real deal, there’s no going back: It’s wonderful in stews, panna cottas, bread puddings, and mulled wines and ciders.

Jar of Inspiration

Lior Lev Sercarz crafts his blends for professional chefs, some to honor the cuisine of a particular culture or person, and some simply to add unique flavor to foods. No matter the inspiration chef Marc Forgione contends each is “put together with thought and passion.” Sercarz’s only instruction for using the blends: “open a jar and be inspired.” From Iced and hot herbal infusions to grilled or roasted meats and vegetables to cookies and cakes are given a punch of flavor and new life with Sercarz’s creations.
