The Obsidian has a distinct spice and floral note on the nose that is incredibly enticing. Only 450 cases were produced of this organically farmed Cabernet-based blend, Arkenstone課ェs flagship wine.

Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec
Nose: Earthy spices and dried floral notes, with hints of black cherry and mocha
Palate: Toasted macadamia nuts, dry tobacco, vanilla bean, ripe blackberries, dark stone fruits and a hint of eucalyptus
Alcohol: 14.5%

Arkenstone reflects Ron and Susan Krausz’s love of family and friends, deep respect for the land and lifelong enjoyment of wine. Arkenstone was named for the gem that figures so prominently in The Hobbit by Tolkien and is said to reflect the “diamond at the heart of the mountain,” and yield wines that, like the gem, shine from within.
