In particular, the Russian River Valley of Sonoma produces outstanding versions, and the Keefer Ranch Pinot Noir is a prime example. The grapes are sourced from the single vineyard of Keefer Ranch in the Green Valley.
This vertical is the perfect opportunity to experience the dramatic difference between 2008 and 2009. Both vintages are excellent and worthy in their own right. The 2008 is more approachable, with delicate notes of black cherry and rhubarb, while the 2009 is more complex, with notes ranging from floral to spice.
