Byrd Cookie Company has been a Savannah tradition since 1924. It began when Ben T. Byrd, Sr. started making cookies by hand, packing them in wooden boxes and delivering them to Savannah stores. Today the company is known for its tiny crunchy cookies and Southern specialties like cheddar biscuits.

Cupcake Collection
Since its founding in 1924, Byrd’s Cookie Company has baked classic Southern sweets like benne wafers and Scotch oatmeal, but when founder B.T. Byrd’s great-granddaughter Stephanie Lindley eventually inherited the business, she and head baker Max Cruz introduced all kinds of new flavors to the family repertoire. Byrd’s now bakes several dozen varieties of sweet and savory cookies, many of which are organized into groups like the cute Cupcake Collection, inspired by Lindley’s favorite flavors like red velvet, chocolate banana, birthday cake and black and white.
