Honolulu Fish Company is dedicated to preserving the delicate watery ecosystems surrounding the Hawaiian Islands and all of the creatures that inhabit them. According to Honolulu Fish Company founder and trained marine biologist, Wayne Samiere, "when you catch things in a net, you catch 1,000 of them. You treat them like 1,000. They are thrown on a deck, put away too late or improperly, but when you use hook fishing, you properly treat it as one fish instead of 1,000." Honolulu Fish Company works exclusively with fishermen who fish "the old fashioned way" with long hook lines because it has the lowest environmental impact of any type of fishing technique available in today's fishing industry.
