Why We Love It
Maple. Chili. Relish. Three great tastes that—incredibly—taste great together. This relish is more like a chutney, with all of an excellent chutney’s hallmarks. It’s fresh and sweet, spicy and textured, and includes topnotch spices like peppercorns, celery seeds and mustard seeds in addition to jalapeños, Serrano peppers, cucumbers and onions. We love using it to top a hamburger or veggie burger fresh off the grill, maybe with a bright, off-dry glass of Riesling that will take the edge off the spice. If you’re in the mood for a beer, a hoppy IPA is a smart bet.
