2000 was an iconic year in Bordeaux. The vintage was near-perfect and produced some of the most highly sought-after wines to date. This little treasure which sommelier Jordan Salcito and Gilt Taste blind tasting panelist says is reminiscent of gumdrops, bruised apples and white flowers, with a great freshness, is simply wonderful with chilled summer soups.

Chevalier is one of the last Bordeaux estates to use “Domaine” in its title. After the 1855 Classification, when only a handful of estates used the title “Château,” most wine estates followed suit and renamed their estate to sound prestigious. Domaine de Chevalier has kept their name and maintains the same traditions since inception.
