Ripe, round and creamy is how Joe Campanale, Beverage Director and owner of Manhattan Anfora Wine Bar, describes this lovely wine. Its aroma of tropical fruit and notes of toasted oak might transport one to the French countryside, a round of goat cheese close at hand. Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, and a touch of Muscadelle combine for a white wine of high acidity and lots of rich texture.

Nose: Honeydew melon, pineapple, burnt sugar
Palate: Ripe melons, tropical fruit, toasted oak notes, creamy finish

This Château was almost completely destroyed during the depression of the 1930’s. In 1987, the Gervoson family restored its reputation as one of the premier estates. The current winemaker tends to just less than 60 hectares and works meticulously with his team to create wines that exhibit the famous terroir of Pessac-Léognan.
