Inspired by San Diego’s rolling hills laden with yellow mustard flowers, James Magnatta and Zach Negin started crafting mustard in 2009. They started selling their tangy condiments at local Southern California farmers’ markets and their local popularity propelled SoNo Trading Company into a national mustard phenomenon.

Mustard Man
Zach Negin, co-founder of SoNo Trading Company cooks up more than gourmet mustards. He likes to add a dollop of his Hong Kong Habanero Mustard to mix of soy sauce and honey; the sweet, spicy and salty sauce is delicious over stir-fried vegetables. Brush the tangy champagne garlic mustard over chicken the next time you throw a barbecue and watch the magic happen; the sugar in the mustard will caramelizes in the heat and gives the chicken tang, but a crackly crust.
