It may be called simple syrup, but the name belies the intricate craftsmanship that goes into creating each bottle of Royal Rose. Husband-and-wife team Emily Butters and Forrest Butler prepare their handmade syrups with meticulously sourced spices and certified-organic, fair-trade ingredients to make well-balanced, simply dazzling mixers.

Simple (Syrup) Solutions

With a six-pack of Royal Rose syrups (and a well-stocked bar) at the ready, cocktail hour takes on a different hue. It may be the blush of a lemonade tinged with Rose syrup, or the deep earthy tones of tea spiced with Cardamom-Clove; it can glow with a Tamarind Sour or sprinkle purple rain with a Lavender-Lemon-infused Violet Ghost. Three Chiles can shake up a salsa (as well as a glass of tequila), and Tamarind blends effortlessly into a pad thai (and makes a cooling tropical milkshake). And we love the classic Raspberry, drizzled over a creamy bowl of vanilla ice cream, and blended with a fine island rum.
