Lisbon Lemons

The Coldani family has a thick skin when it comes to their lemon olive oil. When it came time to constructing the perfect lemon olive oil blend, they realized that the widely popular Meyer lemon, was great for eating, but not for flavoring. According to Jeanne Coldani, owner of Coldani Olive Ranch, "we chose to blend Lisbon lemons with our olive oil over Meyer lemons, because Meyers are great for eating, but Lisbons have a much thicker skin, where all the oil is." We love this oil because it truly captures the essence of lemon, without tasting counter fit. It's so fruity and refreshing, we can't stop thinking about lemon olive oil cake, or shaved asparagus salad, topped with crumbled bits of Parmiggiano Reggiano.
