The beauty of these D’Artagnan specialty packages is that their Gascony-born creator seems to have anticipated every part of a well-fed weekend. Unroll yourself after a long car ride and reach for saucisson sec, a spicy dried sausage, to slice and set out with a bowl of olives, rumpled folds of jambon de bayonne (French prosciutto) and a hunk of garlicky pâté de Campagne. The next day, grill up some sausage: There are garlicky links and truffle-y ones, and a duck sausage laced prettily with Armagnac. Lay slices of the beautifully smoked duck breast over a salad of arugula, peaches and honey vinaigrette. Work your way up to steak or chicken: Either benefits from a pat of black truffle butter.
