In the Aztec empire, cocoa beans were used as currency. But only royalty and the elite were permitted to drink their cash. True to Aztec tradition, MarieBelle's drinking chocolates are made using whole cocoa beans. Simply mix equal parts hot water and chocolate for a rich, velvety treat.

Why We Love It

One of the beauties of the MarieBelle's drinking chocolate is how simple it is to make: Add boiling water and stir. But it's just as easy to make a decadent pudding: Mix the chocolate and pour it into ramekins or martini glasses and chill. Top with a whipped cream, chopped caramelized ginger or a cherry.
