Here's what you get:
- 8 ounces of 66% cacao blend Certified Organic Fair Trade baking drops
Founded by a space shuttle technologist and run by Louis Rossetto and Jane Metcalfe, co-founders of Wired.com, TCHO is not your usual chocolate company. With beans sourced by John Kehoe, the TCHO team is devoted helping farmers across the globe produce better cacao beans to craft superb chocolate.
Once your order is processed, your chocolates will be shipped for overnight delivery in an insulated box with ice packs so that the chocolate doesn't melt. You will receive an email notifying you of the ship date. TCHO ships Monday through Wednesday.
Why We Love It
Unlike chocolate companies that simply melt slabs of chocolate sourced from other places, TCHO obsesses over the creation process from bean to bar: Their employees source beans from locations including Ghana, Peru and Madagascar, and only partner with organic or fair-trade co-ops committed to humane working conditions. Back at the TCHO factory, where every employee owns a piece of the company, they fuss with flavor profiles to produce beautiful chocolates. Along with pro pastry chefs like James Beard Award winner Emily Luccheti, we love these semisweet drops because they are designed to be bright, not bitter. Use them in dreamy frostings, profiteroles or a silky-smooth ganache.
