What is Biodynamic?

Biodynamic agriculture treats farmland like an organism by integrating plants and animals for symbiotic and self-sustaining growth. Planted alongside orchids and Himalayan foxes, this Darjeeling tea is just one member of a diverse agricultural community hidden away in the Himalayas. The plant’s small leaves are oxidized for less time than most black teas, which produces a greener, leafier tea. To brew the perfect cup, be aware of the three "Ts:" (water) temperature, (steeping) time and total (amount). Steep one teaspoon of Biodynamic Darjeeling with eight ounces of 190-degree water for about three to five minutes. The tea is certified organic in the United States as well as the far-stricter European Union and Japan.
