With the exception of Earl Gray and Jasmine, flavored teas are a modern invention. This scented tea is made the traditional way. Freshly plucked jasmine petals are spread on the ground, then wet, green tea leaves are placed on a screen above. The porous tea leaves absorb the flowers' intoxicating aroma, leaving an intense but natural flavor of honeysuckle and jasmine.

Why We Love It

Like many of Five Mountains' teas, Rolled Jasmine Green come from the famed Lan'Xang River Valley, a virgin rainforest where tea masters have harvested for as long as 4,000 years. To brew the perfect cup, be aware of the three "Ts:" (water) temperature, (steeping) time and total (amount). Steep one to two teaspoons of Rolled Jasmine Green with eight ounces of 180° water for three to four minutes. The tea is certified organic in the United States as well as the far-stricter European Union and Japan.
