A small cooperative of Alaskan fishermen catch this halibut and immediately clean and flash freeze it themselves as soon as they reach the dock. It's some of the freshest fish we've ever tasted and incredibly versatile: Grilled, encrusted in pistachios, or served in a Thai curry, the options are endless. The meat is flaky, ivory, and outstanding.

This co-op of independent Alaskan fishermen is committed to sustainable catch methods and small-batch processing to ensure consumers have access to fresh, eco-friendly seafood. Members fish for a maximum of 3 days at a time, returning to shore with a fresh catch that's sold within days, if not hours.

Once your order is processed, it will be sent via overnight shipping. Expect an email notifying you of ship date. Your products will arrive frozen in an insulated box with frozen gel packs to keep your seafood cold. This product will be shipped by Mishima Ranch, who works in a partnership with the NPFC, Monday through Thursday.

 

Why We Love It

We aren't kidding when we say this fish is versatile. Pound it flat and wrap it around butter, crackers and parsley, then bake. Chop it and toss into spicy coconut milk based curries.
