Once your order is processed, your caviar will be shipped for overnight delivery in recycled packaging with coolant to protect and maintain the temperature of the caviar. California Caviar Company ships on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 

Why We Love It

In the early 19th century, sturgeon swam abundantly in America’s rivers and along the Pacific coast making caviar the original bar nut; preserved in salt, the inexpensive eggs were simple to store and kept pub patrons thirsty. A century later, the American sturgeon was severely over–fished and a subsequent ban on commercial sturgeon fishing turned caviar into an American delicacy. This trio includes the nutty and smooth California White sturgeon, briny and robust Paddlefish and buttery Hackleback caviar, all of which have been sustainably harvested.

Use and Care

  • Refrigerate upon arrival
  • Serve caviar nestled in ice or in a caviar server to keep cold
  • Lightly toast blinis in warm skillet
  • Unopened caviar will remain fresh for up to 5 weeks
  • After opening, consume caviar within 4 days
  • Blinis and crème frâiche will remain fresh for up to 4 weeks
