Design with a purpose

Three Blind Ants, the Dallas, Texas-based graphic design team behind Boxsal, has gone the distance to make sure their picnic boxes treat mother nature with respect. Boxsal boxes are made of Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI) grade recycled paper containing 40 - 60% post-consumer waste content and printed with earth-friendly inks. The disposable trays and bowls are made from 100% sugar cane fiber, a byproduct of the sugar refining process. The biodegradable forks decompose naturally within 180 days when disposed at a commercial compost facility.

Method of Production

  • Cold cups are made from PLA, which is derived from corn grown in the USA, and they're 100% compostable and biodegradable
  • The biodegradable forks decompose naturally within 180 days when disposed at a commercial compost facility
