Maitake, white Hon Shimeji and brown Hon Shimeji mushrooms are cultivated on organic farms and shine brightest in traditional Asian dishes like stir fries and noodle soups. Try them with sautéed with sugar snap peas, Jamón Ibérico and a soft boiled egg, or sautéed to top your best burgers. Each mushroom in this trio, which arrives clean and ready to cook, features nutty, earthy notes, but their textures range from silky and tender to firm and meaty.

Exotic and Versatile

Hon Shimeji mushrooms are firm and will maintain a clean bite after cooking, making them sturdy enough for a stir-fry.   Meaty and dense, we love treating Maitakes (also known as Hen-of-the-Woods) very much like a piece of meat, cooking a large cut of the mushroom on the grill or searing it in a hot pan.
