Michelle Crochet first fell in love with rocky road chocolate when she was a little girl by way of her mother’s traditional recipe. In 2007, she started her San Francisco-based artisan confectionery, swapping out classic walnuts for salty peanuts and crafting home-made marshmallow.

When shipping their chocolates to a warm climate, Droga packages the boxes with an ice pack. Droga's boxes are made of recycled material and printed using a 100% wind–powered facility with soy–based ink and chemistry–free plates.

 

Homemade Marshmallows

San Francisco–based Droga Confections makes their fluffy marshmallows by hand, using the very best organic ingredients. Founder Michelle Crochet's all–natural recipe is adapted from her mom's original; she whisks organic brown rice syrup and sugar into a airy cloud and then folds in gelatin and vanilla . The taffy–like batter is spread onto sheet pans to rest and finally dusted in GMO–free cornstarch and powdered sugar.
