Why to buy: Make throwing a party that much easier; you can't go wrong with sparkling rosé. It's playful and fun, but has the structure to hold up to almost any hors d'oeuvre at your holiday party. This year we're turning all our friends onto Fantinel's sparkling rosé – a gorgeous dry (not sweet) sparkler from our favorite prosecco producer, and made in the same style.

Characteristics: Bright, fresh and fragrant with strawberries and raspberries, this wine is both food-friendly and party-friendly, since it appeals to so many different types of palates. Though it's fermented in stainless steel, its mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, with a mouthwatering splash of acidity.

Palate: Layers of red currant, mineral and yeast

This small, third-generation winery was founded forty years ago, when Paron Mario, a former hotelier and restauranteur, purchased his first vineyards with the idea of making wine for his clients. The winery has gained attention for crafting world-class wines and grappa in various appellations.
