Additionally, Borgogno owner Oscar Farinetti (who also founded the first Eataly) designed six quirky, lighthearted labels especially for the 2004 collection. They expound upon his theories about life, success, love, and humanity—and make for great dinner conversation while enjoying a fabulous wine.

Characteristics:“The 2004 Barolo Riserva emerges from the glass with layers of fragrant red berries, flowers and spices. It, too, is representative of the year. Silky tannins frame the perfumed, expressive fruit through to the finish. This is an especially refined style for Borgogno. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2023.” So says Antonio Galloni of Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate of this refined, elegant, wonderfully balanced wine, and we could hardly agree more.
