This late harvest Riesling tastes like the best "Spatlese" Rieslings from the Mosel region in Germany. Sexy mouthfeel, beautiful florals on the nose and hints of honey sweetness.
– Joy Kull, Gilt Taste Wine Maven

Nose, palate and pairing: With layers of green apple and juicy ripe peach, we love this lightly sweet and well-balanced Reisling with rich, decadent foie gras or mild soft cheeses. Also a classic complement with desserts, this is one of the few white wines that pairs just as elegantly with bitter dark chocolate as with bright tropical fruits.

The backstory: Wines labeled “late harvest” means the grapes are picked far into the growing season, left on the vine for two to three weeks longer than the norm, allowing the grapes to fully develop their flavors and for the sugar to become intensely concentrated. The end result is a sweet yet full-bodied wine.

We Love This With

Sweet pairs with sweet. It’s as simple as that. This almond-amaretto tart with poached Bosc pears matches beautifully with the honeyed citrus and apricot notes in this Riesling.
