Courtney Dougherty used to work in the pastry kitchen of four-star New York restaurant Eleven Madison Park, and says a slip on a banana peel while walking the Golden Gate Park—really!—was the inspiration behind her all-banana dessert company. Her pretty little jars contain single servings of banana-buttermilk cake slathered with a generous layer of frosting. There’s sweet chocolate fudge, creamy toasted coconut, salted caramel, and the classic peanut butter–banana combo, topped with an organic chocolate peanut butter cup. All four cakes are hand looped with baker’s twine and packaged in custom designed, tote-able carrier.
