Michel Richart spent his childhood in his father’s chocolate laboratories in Lyon, France and later followed in his father’s chocolatier footsteps to take over the family business in 1968. Since then, Michel has been crafting quality chocolate, a formidable feat which has earned him seven Chocolaterie Blue Ribbons, France’s highest award for professional pastry chefs.
After your order is processed, your chocolates will be shipped via 2-day delivery (with cold gel packs to some warm states, such as Florida) to prevent melting. Richart ships chocomacs Monday through Wednesday. You'll receive an email from Gilt Taste notifying you of your ship date.
Why We Love It
Richart got its start in France in 1925. "Two generations later," as Michel Richart says, "we consider it our daily mission to seek out both an inexhaustible supply of the finest cocoa the world has to offer and, along with it, an equally endless amount of the happiness and pleasure that chocolate has to offer." Maybe it's that he grew up under the guidance of a master chocolatier, but Michel's creations are surpassingly charming, novel and classic at once, and always delicious. - Upon arrival, refrigerate Chocomacs in the packaging they arrive in
- Remove from the refrigerator for 30 minutes before eating to bring them to room temperature
