Actor Kyle MacLachlan began making wines with Eric Dunham, the senior winemaker at Dunham Cellars, after Kyle approached Eric about serving his (sold-out) 2009 Syrah at his wedding. Eric agreed, the men decided to make wines together, and this tiny-production Syrah (only 193 cases were produced) represents their first joint effort. It features spicy aromatics and a palate of mountain berries and wild herbs with an underpinning of velvet-glove tannins. The name "baby bear" was inspired by MacLachlan's son Callum, who was born the same year.
