Voila: Here’s a genius Bloody Mary spice set to help you knock it out of the park. We like to blend all of these spices finely and put a bit into the drink itself and rim the glass with the rest. It’s delicious, subtly spicy, and complex enough that it suits the drink wonderfully (we sometimes make ours with bourbon!) Just don’t blame us when those guests don’t want to leave.

Husband-and-wife team Shuli and Ronit Madmone supply whole and ground spices to friends in their Northern California community, restaurants like San Francisco's Millennium, and home cooks nationwide. Every one of their spices is ground to order.

They are committed to finding the best spices around the world, and are renowned for grinding every spice to order. They will mix up a batch of Herbes de Provence just before shipping, or smoke and grind chiles to make a chipotle-and-honey rub ideal for pork chops. Ronit and Shuli suggest flavoring cooking oil with whole spices and removing them before adding vegetables and meats, then adding powdered spices just before a dish starts to simmer, then season to taste as it cooks. This contributes wonderful layers of flavor to any dish that benefits from some spice.
