Nose, palate and pairing: Blackberries, licorice and smoke on the nose lead to ripe, nicely acidic, velvety palate with hints of berry and violet. It won’t steam roll your palate and can be paired with anything from seared ribeye to bold cheese to slow-cooked stews.
Backstory: Made with grapes meticulously selected by Tomas Achaval—he’s walked every inch of the Los Andes region searching for excellent vineyard land (hence, the name Nomade)—this wine has aged for eight months in French and American oak. These grapes are harvested from a 75-year old Vineyard in Mendoza.
